Founder, MD & CEO Multiples Alternate Asset Management
Renuka has spent over two and half decades in the Indian financial sector across private equity, investment banking and structured finance. As one of the early private equity investors in India, she played a pivotal role in shaping the market both in terms of leading pioneering investments such as buy-outs as well as opening new pockets of capital for investment in Indian private equity. In her last role as the MD & CEO of ICICI Venture for close to a decade, she has contributed in many ways to the evolution of that firm to one of the largest private equity funds in India.
Renuka brings on board her deep experience of raising, investing and returning third party capital across several economic cycles. She looks to build Multiples as a platform to channelise long-term capital to create valuable enterprises and successful entrepreneurs. She draws motivation from the fact that supporting entrepreneurs to build sustainable businesses has the potential to generate employment, to create ripple effects in the Indian economy and to facilitate the greater process of nation building.
Renuka, a mother of two, enjoys singing Indian classical music. She is a connoisseur of paintings and likes to spend time at her farm watching a fresh harvest. Renuka holds a Bachelor of Engineering from VJTI, University of Mumbai and an MBA from the University of Mumbai. She has also completed the AMP from the Harvard Business School.
Managing Partner & CEO, IDFC Alternatives
Mr. Sinha is the Managing Partner and Chief Executive Officer of IDFC Alternatives. He has over twenty four years of international experience in private equity, project finance, corporate finance and investment banking.
In his role as the Managing Partner & CEO, Mr. Sinha is responsible for the overall performance of the IDFC Alternatives platform. He currently has direct responsibility for performance of investments under the infrastructure asset class and for overall growth of the platform through new initiatives/asset classes.
Before moving into his current role, Mr. Sinha was the President & CEO of IDFC Project Equity (2007- 2012) and was responsible for setting up and managing the Infrastructure asset class. Mr. Sinha joined the Sponsor in 2005 as an Executive Director and was responsible for Project Finance & Business Development.
Prior to joining IDFC, Mr. Sinha worked with General Electric Company (GE) in the Structured Finance Group for over ten (10) years in Stamford (U.S.A), London, Hong Kong, Singapore and India. Before GE, Mr. Sinha worked with Bank of America (1994-95) and SBI Capital Markets (1990-94) in India in their Corporate Finance and investment Banking areas, respectively.
Mr. Sinha holds a Master in Business Administration degree from Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad and a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur
Gopal is the Founder Chairman & MD of TVS Capital Funds Limited, that has launched an India focused Growth Private Equity Fund. The Vision is to develop and nurture India’s mid-cap businesses into world-class companies. The Fund will make investments in companies that are at the intersection of high growth consumer consumption driven opportunities and a developmental theme, such as organizing the unorganized/inefficient sectors. The Fund targets proprietary investment opportunities, and be a strategic partner to the entrepreneur and the enterprise to help expand businesses beyond their existing roots, professionalize their operations and enhance their management team.
Gopal, a third generation TVS family member, is the founder and Chairman of TVS Electronics Limited and is a Director in TVS & Sons Ltd, the holding company. He is also a member of the Board of several Group Companies. The TVS Group is a $4 Billion (revenue) automotive family controlled conglomerate, now in its 100th year of service to its customers, societal stakeholders and shareholders.
Over the course of his career spanning 25 years, he has founded several companies operating in diverse sectors including computer peripherals, technology & financial services with a combined revenue of over Rs.500 Crs. and with Asset Under Management (AUM) of Rs.1100 Crs.
Gopal was a Board member in Great Lakes Institute of Management and IFMR. Gopal is an alumni of the Stephen M. Ross, School of Business, University of Michigan and he plays an active role in the school’s initiatives. He is also an Advisory Board Member of CKP Center at Loyola Institute of Business Administration (LIBA).
Gopal was the Chairman of the “Confederation of Indian Industry (CII)” Tamil Nadu State Council for the fiscal year ‘07-‘08. He was also the Chairman of CII National Committee for Private Equity & Venture Capital for the fiscal year ’10-‘11.
A passionate entrepreneur, he is also actively involved in the promotion of Entrepreneurship as an angel investor. He is associated with Chennai Angels as well as TiE (The Indus Entrepreneurs) where he provides guidance to the budding entrepreneurs on incubating businesses.
Gopal earned a B.Com from Loyola College, Chennai and an MBA from University of Michigan, US.
Head (Capital Markets), KKR India
B.V. Krishnan joined KKR in 2009 and looks after KKR’s Alternative Credit and Capital Markets business in India.
Previously, B.V. Krishnan was at Citigroup, where he worked as Director, Head of Structured Products for Fixed Income, Currencies & Commodities and Equity Capital Markets. He has a degree in Chartered Accountancy from The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India, Chennai. While at Citigroup, he was responsible for new product development and providing solutions for multi-asset class risk management for senior clients.
B.V. Krishnan has experience in corporate finance, capital markets and in structuring capital raising solutions. He has had the experience of working with regulators, including SEBI, in developing the local securities markets. He has worked across multiple geographies in India, wherein he has managed senior client relationships across industries, and diligenced and managed portfolios for several years while part of the Corporate Bank at Citi.
Director, CPPIB India Advisors Private Limited
Vikram Desai (39) is Director of CPPIB India Advisors Private Limited, the Indian Advisor to the Toronto-based Canada Pension Plan Investment Board (CPPIB), which invests C$269 billion of assets of the Canada Pension Plan on behalf of over 18 million Canadian contributors and beneficiaries.
Vikram joins CPPIB from VSG Capital Advisors, where we was responsible for launching CPPIB’s Mumbai office and building CPPIB’s India business by originating, evaluating, negotiating, and structuring transactions across asset classes. He has been closely involved in the Canada Pension Plan’s investment commitments of over $1.4BN in India - including CPPIB’s investment into Kotak Mahindra Bank, L&T Infrastructure Development Projects Limited (the unlisted roads/infrastructure subsidiary of Larsen and Toubro Ltd), the formation of CPPIB’s real estate joint ventures with Piramal Enterprises (residential) and the Shapoorji Pallonji Group (commercial), fund investments and numerous co-investments alongside CPPIB’s local General Partner’s.
Prior to CPPIB/VSG, Vikram served as Managing Director / Managing Member of the Sparta Group LLC, a private investment office where he invested globally across asset classes and in individual securities, delivering investment returns in the top decile of comparably sized endowments and foundations with capital of over $500MM.
Vikram’s 15+ years of global investment and transaction experience includes private equity investing at San-Francisco based FFL Partners, and Mergers & Acquisitions at the CSFB Technology Group, where he executed transactions in excess of $25BN.
Vikram is a BBA graduate of the University of Texas at Austin and a Mumbai native.
Managing Partner, Tata Capital Ltd & Vice Chairman, IVCA
Paddy started his career in 1995 and has experience spanning private equity, entrepreneurship & investment banking, and a track record of driving investments, portfolio management and divestments.
Paddy joined Tata Capital in February 2011 after having previously worked at Temasek Holdings, most recently as the Managing Director - India. He was part of Temasek’s founding team in India and also led some global special projects. Prior to Temasek, Paddy worked at ICICI Venture prior to which he had an entrepreneurial stint as a founding team member and President of an e-learning company which operated under the ‘eGurucool’ brand. He has also served on several corporate boards including select Tata companies.
Paddy secured his MBA from the Indian Institute of Management, Calcutta and graduated from the Computer Science Engineering program of Birla Institute of Technology and Science (Pilani), India.

Anjali Bansal is a Partner at TPG Growth, based in Mumbai. Prior to joining TPG in 2015, Anjali was a Partner with Spencer Stuart, where she co-led their Asia Pacific Board & CEO practice. She was the Founder and Managing Director of the firm’s India practice, growing it across Mumbai, Gurgaon and Bangalore. Previous to Spencer Stuart, Anjali served as a Strategy Consultant with McKinsey & Company in New York and Mumbai. Anjali holds a Masters from Columbia University, where she serves on the Advisory Board, and a Bachelor’s in computer engineering. She serves on the Boards of Bata India Limited, GlaxoSmithKline Pharmaceuticals India, and TATA group company Voltas.
